That makes this the perfect time to make a few chess resolutions. Not the usual ones about eating less chocolate or starting to jog, but finally analyzing the games you've played, solving more puzzles, and adding a bit more structure to your chess training.
Setting up new training goals in sjakkSheila is easy. Click on your username in the menu and select Training Data.

What would you like to achieve before Christmas? Are there any important tournaments coming up? Or do you have recurring weaknesses that keep costing you valuable rating points?
Your training goals should help you move toward that main objective. Make them as specific as possible. For example, write down the exact chess book you want to read and decide how long each training or reading session should last.
Also think about goals you can work on from your phone or tablet, so you can keep training even when you don't have your computer, chessboard or books with you.
Some goals are tracked automatically. For example, puzzles you solve and games you play on Lichess are counted without you having to do anything. Other goals need to be logged manually, either by checking them off when you've completed them or by entering how many you've done.
If you want to set aside focused study time, click the stopwatch (Session timer) in the menu at the top to start a timer. Choose the goal you're working on—for example, reading a chess book or analyzing a game—and perhaps you'd like to start a Pomodoro session. It makes your training easier to plan and much easier to stick with.
Good luck with the new season! Maybe this will be the autumn when you actually keep your (chess) resolutions.
