Are you as good as the master?
In Master Matching you play through real games and try to find the moves that were played. Find the master move, or one that is just as good, and you score points. And if you find a move that is better than the one the master played, you get a whole three points! It's training that feels like a game, and it's a different kind of training from solving tactics puzzles, where you already know there is a decisive continuation. Here you have to play through the whole game, including all the ordinary moves, which after all make up most of a game.
We've recently improved Master Matching to make it easier and more motivating to use.
- Search by opening: Train exactly the openings you play yourself, or the ones you want to learn.
- Search by colour: Choose whether you want to play as White or Black.
- Search by tags: Pick games with the themes you want to practise.
Did you know that anyone can add games? If you have games you'd like to train on, you can add them to Master Matching yourself. And if you're a coach, you can set up training games for your own students.
And we're not stopping here. We're working on making Master Matching even better, and more updates are on the way. Try it now and let us know what you think. Your feedback helps shape the next version!
